Part 2 of 3: Nutnfancy putting a new SR9 through some initial trial shooting in his high desert shooting area. Look for a table top review of this model in the future for all the specifics. But, as said here, the SR9 is a light, fast, reliable, tough, accurate, and ergonomic 9mm pistol. Easily the best pistol Ruger has ever made. And it’s affordable. @nutnfancy, I agree with the fact you may not have time to aim and shoot while under stressed and the fact the other person most likely the other person could be shooting. A person would most likely point rather then aim in that type of situation. Heck, most cops do, Infact I have talked to a few police officers about this very same thing after you have mentioned it. They try to aim but when your getting shot at, taking the time to aim could get you shot if you don’t have much cover around.

You’re flinching. Practice dry firing, but grouping low left is the #1 indicator of a flinch.

Ruger has always had very stout springs in their magazines. Compressing a spring does not affect it either. Putting rounds though them is what loosens a spring, and wears them out eventually.

as far as that magazine, a trick of mine is to leave a loaded mag (not in the gun, and if you don’t feel comfortable doing that use snap caps) overnight or longer.. loosens that spring up a lot!

my glock 22 seems to group low to the left. I got the night sights on min and they are fixed. To me the sights are a bit wrong. If i dont line the dots up and aim higher with the fron sight i seem to do ok.. Anyone have similar experience?
