These “High Yield Investment Programs” (HYIP) are usually scams. I have never heard of a legitimate one. The US Treasury department considers the phrase “high yield investment program” a red flag that you are probably dealing with a scam.

There is no safe way of investing when you are dealing with scam artists. They will take your money and run. Sometimes they will give you some of your own money back as an enticement to get you to invest more, but in the end they will try to take you for as much as possible.
