One other thing. I have a grandfather who is CEO of a construction company that builds hospitals, churches, hotels, etc. and do you know how high is educational level is? High school graduate. He started out as a construction worker himself after coming home from WWII.

This is why politicians rarely understand free-market capitalism like our president. They spend all of their time in school then immediately enter politics without working in the private sector. The politicians govern under arrogant, academic assumptions of the business world without entering it. People crack jokes about George W. Bush failing in business before entering politics but often times business skills are learned in the school of hard knocks.

The government and loan companies will help pay for college, but it’s hard to get that kind of money to just start a business from scratch with absolutely no credit and no experience. I’m pretty sure a lot of professors have been involved one way or the other in doing some kind of business also. Besides, once you get into college you can change your major if you decide you don’t like business. School is a great opportunity, don’t listen to this retard.

sorry I meant to say “…many of *MY business profs…” … but as for the rest of it like I said life is short I mean what else are you gonna do with the four years? work? we all have the rest of our lives to do that, college is great time to network and find out what it is you really want to do, or at the least what you don’t really want to do….whether you go to college or not, you’re gonna die one day might as well beef up the obituary right? lol

I disagree that many business profs own and/or have ran successful businesses. I think that profs like that are in the minority. Those who can do, those who can’t teach!Student loans are exempt from bankruptcy. They cannot be discharged in a bankruptcy.
College can be fun if you have an easy major but student loans are not worth it for most people.

many of business profs own and/or have ran successful businesses, and for a guy advocating not going to college he seems to have a lot of trouble reading simple sentences….college is fun why not go?? so what it costs money, you have the rest of your life to pay it back and/or file for bankruptcy and start again lol life’s short college is a good time i think everyone should go for a lil’ while at least

Some business schools don’t really have good networks. Most general management and marketing degrees will only land you a low paying job now!
Accounting degrees are gold though!

HA get this don’t go to college guy. I know a guy who works at a retail store that has a college “business degree”. HE demanded to be promoted to manager the first day and pissed off everyone. HE told his supervisor that because of his degree he knows more than them.
HAAAAAAAA
He wont last a month in retail………

This clip is not sufficient evidence backing up the claims of DGTC. To begin with, the movie BACK TO SCHOOL is about a wealthy business owner who decides to go back to school and try to get a degree. This would run counter to the message articulated here that college is counterproductive. As for the rest of the video, I would agree that Business has no place as an academic major at any school but I don’t make the rules. Again, you demonstrate your ineptitude ad nauseum.

This is so true! I have degrees in both physics and planning. I found my years as an assistant manager at vons and other prior work experience were way more valuable than two pieces of paper. Also, great choice in picking this Rodney Dangerfield scene, since more kids need to know on the job experience is what counts in the real world.
