*PLEASE READ BEFORE VIEWING!!!* I do not own any copies of Jetlag/Golden Films animated films other than “Cinderella” and “Beauty and the Beast.” So please stop asking me to upload more. It’s just not going to happen. As many have requested, here is the 1993 Golden Films animated fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast. The story begins when an old gentleman has lost nearly his entire fortune and results to selling his property and moving his family — two sons and three daughters — to the countryside. The two spoiled daughters — Alisha and Pauline — are unhappy while the two sons — Nathan and Robert — and the third daughter — Beauty — easily adapt to there new farm life. Then the family receives some good news that might replenish the family fortune. *note* This version of Beauty and the Beast is property of Golden Films and the American Film Investment Corporation. @TearsBehindSmiles For some reason I agree with you. It’s all truth one way or the other. The reason Disney changed the story to Beauty and the Beast was because the story was told same over and over again though the years. I am hoping they actually make Beauty and the Beast in a real movie. I mean make it way different than the original story. The truth is I never read the Original story. I am a fan of Beauty and the Beast though. My most favorite stories from the other Fairy tales.

@TearsBehindSmiles That is very true. Anyone can make their own adaptation of a classic fairy tale without legal permission. Even if Disney already made their own version, it’s only their adaptation that they can claim ownership for.

@Allyheartzz The Disney movie Beauty and the Beast was released in 1991. This one was in 1993. That means that the Disney version was made two years before this one. The only reason Disney can’t sue GOLDEN FILMS for copyright is because the story of La Belle et la Bete is a French fairytale and therefore doesn’t formally belong to any one person or company. It’s part of public domain, and anyone can use the story in whatever way they want.

Not as good as the disney film on voice acting and animating terms however I like this one better because it sticks to the orginal story or atlest the same plot line as it. btw thanx for uploading facts^^

That’s the orginal story had two sisters for Belle, both were selfish, but not necessarily ugly…some versions, she has a brother and a sister.

Beauty’s sisters remind me of Cinderella’s stepsisters.

The beast in the Disney version of the story is a far more three dimensional and sympathetic character: when we first see him his years of isolation and guilt have all but driven him insane and are slowly destroying what little remains of the man he once was, and slowly he’s becoming and acting more and more of an animal then a human, and it’s only when Belle thanks him for saving her life does he show any signs of humanity.
